EDISON 2.0 Wedge - Heads Only

$129.95

How to order:

  • Select the loft(s) you want in your set
  • Add to cart and proceed to checkout

Please Note: Edison wedges are engineered to odd number lofts; we routinely deliver even numbers by adjusting the lower loft head up one degree; i.e. a “54” will actually bear the number “53”, but we do not make this adjustment on un-shafted heads.  We recommend this adjustment be made on the finished club on a quality loft/lie machine.

Description

For discriminating golfers who like to build their own clubs, the remarkable EDISON 2.0 wedge heads are available for purchase. Available in odd-number lofts from 45 to 59 degrees.

When even number lofts are desired, we recommend adjusting upward, i.e. make a 54 by weakening a 53, not strengthening a 55. Each head features a weight port in the bottom of the hosel for finetuning swingweight during assembly, and each head is shipped with the distinctive Edison black/copper ferrule. Hosels are bored for .355” taper tip shafts.

FREE Shipping on orders of three or more heads. If you are a commercially engaged clubfitter/builder, please contact us about our Certified WedgeFitter program. Email Info@EdisonWedges.com for more information.

EDISON 2.0 wedge heads are only available for right-handed golfers at this time.  Left hand heads will be available in lofts from 49 to 59 degrees by March 1, 2025.

NOTE: We cannot offer our 100% RIsk Free Trial on clubheads only.

Features

✔️ Heads: 5X forged 1025 carbon steel

These are SPIN MONSTERS!

Mr. Kohler,
I wanted to take a moment to submit to you a review of my new Edison 2.0 wedges. It all started a month or two ago when one of my friends showed up to play with a new 57°. He loves new and shiny and always convinces me to take a look at whatever new tool he has. On this particular occasion, I was watching him hit short shot after short shot in the practice area and the balls were just one hopping and stopping. He didn’t have to convince me to give it a try. I went to him and said let me see that thing. Out on the course I was able to hit it a few times as well and really really liked it. As it turned out, I ordered a 53 and a 57 “heads only”as soon as I got home. I was preparing to go on a golf trip in a few days, so I asked that the shipment be expedited and to my pleasure it was. Once the heads arrived I installed them on two of my previous wedge shafts which were True temper. The next week we went out in our regular group and I had one of the best short game days I have had in many years.

All of the tech and reasoning about how these perform was spot on. Prior to Edison I had three wedges in my bag. 48° 54° and 58°. The 53 and 57° replaced 54 and 58°. The trip was out to Scottsdale and I was fortunate enough to play Scottsdale national for two days while staying on site. Also played TPC Scottsdale monument rock and we-Ko-pa Cholla course. There were only two of us so we were always playing with others, and without exception on every round people would see how the ball performed off the club and asked me what the heck that was. I explained your story and the tech as best I could always offering swings if they wanted to give it a try. Every single player could not believe the performance stay achieved.

Currently, I have chipped in more in the last two months than I have in the last four or five years. It’s just crazy. I like them so much that I ordered a 47° head only to replace my 48. With the holidays I have not been able to install it quite yet, but plan to do so over Christmas.

On all three of my wedges regardless of brand, they are never used for 100% full shots but for more short and off speed shots and I am 100% comfortable with them.

Thank you for a great product and I am definitely a convert. Your service has been impeccable and your tech is well explained so that a potential buyer can understand why the Edison product is different.

Again, huge thanks and congratulations on a superior product.

~John

A cut above the rest..

The forgiveness on these wedges are amazing... I bought them in 2023 and I replaced the 57 degree head only, re-using my shaft. It was cost saving move that made the club cost no more than a vokey but it performs so much better given my "non-pro" swing. Will keep buying them in the future...

Why Choose Edison Wedges

Forgiving

Edison wedges deliver unmatched forgiveness

Versatility

Any lie, any swing . . . Fear No Shot.

More Spin

Stop, drop and spin approach shots at will

Custom Built

Get wedges made to improve your game

Designed for everyday golfers

NOT Tour Players

Because traditional 'tour design' wedges haven't changed much in decades, your wedge game has suffered.

Not anymore.

The EDISON2.0 wedges are unique in style and playability, because they were designed from scratch for the way YOU play the game.

Unparalleled Distance Control

31 Feet Closer

Your 'tour design' wedges can cost you up to 52 feet of distance on even a 1⁄2 inch miss.

EDISON 2.0 Wedges reduce that distance loss by more than 30 feet - over twice as forgiving as what's in your bag.

ONE SOLE FOR ALL SHOTS

Fear No Shot

The patented Koehler Sole is proven to be the most versatile sole design in the wedge category.

Any lie, turf condition or swing path, you always have the right bounce and grind.

Hit hard-to-hit shots with ease

Golfs Most Forgiving Wedge, Period.

Shots hit slightly high on the face or a bit toward the toe will consistently fly more like your best shots, unlike the wedges you've always played which need to be hit right on the sweet spot.

Weight Distribution:

Mass Where it Matters

EDISON 2.0 wedges optimize forgiveness, distance, consistency and spin.

With more mass directly behind and above your center-face and high-face mis-hits, your not-so-good shots will end up more like your best.

Upto 18% More Spin:

Stop Your Ball In It's Tracks

Edison has pushed the envelope on face texture and groove geometry as far as allowable.

Wider and deeper grooves in the lower lofts give you the control you need on full swings and shots from the rough.

In the higher lofts, the grooves are spaced a bit closer to get just one more groove edge on the ball, and all groove edges are as sharp "as the law allows".

Edison Wedges create more spin, particularly on mid-range wedge shots where you don't swing as fast.

The unique design mitigates spin loss on off-center impacts. Even the spin on your slight mis-hits will surprise you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Makes Edison Wedges the Most Forgiving and Accurate Wedges on The Market

It’s all about the distribution of mass. The EDISON 2.0 wedges look different from all others because we spread the mass more evenly across the back of the clubhead, so that you get more ‘oomph’ on those shots not hit exactly right. And that delivers more distance, better spin and more accuracy.

How does Edison Improve Scoring performance?

By completely re-arranging the mass across the back of the golf club, we made a dramatic improvement in smash factor consistency.

So, the shot hit a bit high on the face or toward the toe - which are the most common misses, even for tour players - turns out more like a solid shot in distance and spin.

The improvement is huge and has been proven on the swing robot - on a half inch miss, high on the face, the Edison wedge delivers up to 30 feet more distance at 90 yards

How many wedges should the average golfer play, and why?

The answer is at least three, preferably four (and not just because we make them!).

First, understand that set matching “P-clubs” are now as strong as 43 degrees or even lower and many have fast face technologies, so they are not really “wedges” at all.

But regardless of your skill, scoring happens inside true wedge range, so you should have enough ‘weapons’ of 45 degrees and higher to keep your distance gapping between wedges to 11-13 yards.

For most golfers, that means gapping between the wedges of 4 or 5 degrees to the highest loft wedge you like to have in your bag.

Why do EDISON 2.0 wedges cost more than most others?

For just a few dollars more than something ‘off the rack’, you get heads that are precision-forged, not cast.

You get to choose from a wide selection of premium KBS shafts, not a generic “wedge flex” shaft that is a poor match to your irons.

And you get your wedges custom-built just for you, to the exact specification for length, lie angle, and even grip adjustments . . . all at no extra charge.
