I got my 55 with the KBS Regular+ shaft and for some reason it loves me back! Must be the club since it can’t be me!👍
I bought these wedges in order to hit consistent full swing shots. I got that plus they are terrific from tight lies which is the situation at our course in California
Clubs are good…not yet settled on what lofts I’ll play on regular basis.
53 degree is perfect fit and big improvement over comparable Mizuno and Vokey.
Think 49 and 57 are probably keepers but intend to try 45 and possibly 59.
If they are playable (aka likable and functional) might keep all 5 wedges and rotate thru the season>
Feel comfortable and confident with these wedges in hand.
The beauty of these clubs is the ball comes off the face the same almost all the time. The greens I play are very firm and the rollout is 1/2 what it was. As a 70 year old who drives the ball 260, is a5 handicap, I'm never felt better about my wedges. I'll add a 46 degree soon.
These wedges are worth every penny. What I notice the most is the distance I keep even on a fat shot. I’m not saying it gets to the hole, but it get much closer than other wedges I’ve used. I think their claim of closer to the hole is true.
These things spin. Normally, I think spin is overrated because most amateurs are short to the pin. But with these, I feel confident enough to hit a hard shot past the hole and let it come back. On short shots they check consistently, which gives me a lot of confidence on short chips.
I like the one sole option, I haven’t found a shot I can’t hit. I play the 49 and 53. I will say, I don’t use them out of the sand (i have an old 58 that isn’t going anywhere as I don’t hit full shots with it and it gets me out of the sand)
Bottom line, yeah, they are a little more expensive. You get what you pay for. Well made, wedge assembled in the USA, and the customer service is top notch.
Im a 9 handicap and I can say these wedges have helped me get closer to the pin, and I’m as consistent or better with them. I also like they are different, I like they are trying things with tech and I like working with a smaller company.
I have been struggling with my wedges and stumbled on a review on the Edison wedges. I did the online fitting and decided to give the 57 deg wedge a try. It is very well made and looks great. The club has helped me significantly within 100yds from the green. The guys I play with have noticed a difference and they seem to borrow it more than use their own club. I highly recommend them especially for anyone that struggles with their wedges.
The clubs really are what they are proposed to be. Very forgiving and easy for amateurs to hit. I love my Edison wedges and would encourage anyone considering them to try one out for a few rounds and see for yourself. You’ll soon be convinced they’re for real! Play well!
