Mr. Kohler,
I wanted to take a moment to submit to you a review of my new Edison 2.0 wedges. It all started a month or two ago when one of my friends showed up to play with a new 57°. He loves new and shiny and always convinces me to take a look at whatever new tool he has. On this particular occasion, I was watching him hit short shot after short shot in the practice area and the balls were just one hopping and stopping. He didn’t have to convince me to give it a try. I went to him and said let me see that thing. Out on the course I was able to hit it a few times as well and really really liked it. As it turned out, I ordered a 53 and a 57 “heads only”as soon as I got home. I was preparing to go on a golf trip in a few days, so I asked that the shipment be expedited and to my pleasure it was. Once the heads arrived I installed them on two of my previous wedge shafts which were True temper. The next week we went out in our regular group and I had one of the best short game days I have had in many years.
All of the tech and reasoning about how these perform was spot on. Prior to Edison I had three wedges in my bag. 48° 54° and 58°. The 53 and 57° replaced 54 and 58°. The trip was out to Scottsdale and I was fortunate enough to play Scottsdale national for two days while staying on site. Also played TPC Scottsdale monument rock and we-Ko-pa Cholla course. There were only two of us so we were always playing with others, and without exception on every round people would see how the ball performed off the club and asked me what the heck that was. I explained your story and the tech as best I could always offering swings if they wanted to give it a try. Every single player could not believe the performance stay achieved.
Currently, I have chipped in more in the last two months than I have in the last four or five years. It’s just crazy. I like them so much that I ordered a 47° head only to replace my 48. With the holidays I have not been able to install it quite yet, but plan to do so over Christmas.
On all three of my wedges regardless of brand, they are never used for 100% full shots but for more short and off speed shots and I am 100% comfortable with them.
Thank you for a great product and I am definitely a convert. Your service has been impeccable and your tech is well explained so that a potential buyer can understand why the Edison product is different.
Again, huge thanks and congratulations on a superior product.
