Inspired first and foremost by the creativity and imagination of Seve Ballesteros, Bill Totten has spent a lifetime helping golfers score better—turning missed greens into opportunities instead of mistakes.
A collegiate golfer at Lake Superior State, Bill went on to become a PGA Teaching Professional and longtime Director of Golf at Fripp Island Resort, where he built a reputation for simplifying the short game for players of all skill levels.
His experience spans instruction, club fitting, and time with both Natural Golf (the Moe Norman single-plane system) and the Ben Hogan Golf Company. He also served on the Ben Hogan Club Professional Advisory Board.
Since joining Edison Golf in 2020, Bill has focused on one thing: making the short game simpler and more reliable for everyday golfers. His approach—featured in Inside the Scoring Zone—is grounded in real shots, real lies, and real scoring.
Blending Seve’s artistry with the discipline of Hogan, Venturi, and Nicklaus, Bill helps golfers develop feel, versatility, and confidence around the greens—while continuing to study today’s best, including Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Will Zalatoris.
